• Use Canvas to disseminate syllabus, materials, and grades.
• Maintain weekly office hours and respond to student inquiries.
• Collaborate with other instructors and conduct classes on campus in Newport, RI.

Job Description:

CONTRACT TYPE: Semester based.

The Jean and David M. Wallace Department of Business &Economics at Salve Regina University is accepting applications foron-site teaching assignments at our campus in Newport, RhodeIsland, beginning in January 2027 and for subsequent semesters onan as needed basis.

Courses to be taught include Introductory Business Analytics, andExcel Modeling & Analysis.

As part of their responsibilities, adjunct faculty are expectedto:

• Prepare and instruct classes assigned by the Department Chairor Assistant Department Chair
• Prepare, evaluate, provide feedback on, proctor, grade, andreturn student assignments, examinations, projects, reports, etc.in a timely manner
• Provide a course syllabus at the start of the semester tostudents and the department chair
• Use the Salve learning management system (Canvas) todisseminate syllabus, course material, and grades to students
• Hold weekly office hours
• Use Salve email to send and receive official emailcorrespondence
• Work collaboratively with other course instructors
• Hold class meetings in person on our campus in Newport, RI

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement is a master's degree in business or relateddiscipline, along with related professional and/or teachingexperience
• Candidates should have an ability to communicate effectively,use technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)effectively in teaching and learning, and to work collaborativelywith other members of the department
