Candidates must hold a BSN (MSN preferred), be an unencumbered Wisconsin RN or eligible for WI licensure, and have at least two years of clinical practice.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred for clinical instruction.
• Unencumbered RN license in Wisconsin (or eligibility for WI licensure).
• Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience in the assigned specialty area.
• Prior experience precepting or teaching students is desirable.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings such as Long-Term Care, Medical–Surgical, or other assigned practice areas.
• Provide on-site coaching, clinical demonstrations, and real-time competency assessment.
• Ensure safe, ethical, evidence-based practice aligned with course and program outcomes.
• Conduct pre- and post-clinical conferences to enhance clinical reflection and judgment.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and complete required student evaluations.
• Communicate effectively with clinical partners and uphold institutional and regulatory expectations.
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
• Participate in required faculty onboarding and orientation
