Job summary

Johnson County Community College seeks an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Automation Engineer Technology to teach sections in Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics during daytime and evening hours.

The candidate will provide practical instruction, ensure safety in industrial settings, and contribute to professional development and service to the division, college and community. Master agreement governs pay and duties may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Five years' relevant work experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of NEC.
• Ability to lecture using the curriculum.
• Safety knowledge in industrial maintenance.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe bending, rigging and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Teach sections of courses within the program (Maintenance Principles, Fluid Power, Electrical Theory, PLC and Robotics).
• Participate in professional development and service to the division, college and community.
• Duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
