Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five or more years of relevant applied experience
• Current ASE certifications in G-1 and A6-A8
• Preferred: Technical Diploma from an ASE accredited vehicle maintenance and repair school
• Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required.

Responsibilities

• Audiovisuals: provide sufficient practice with equipment to develop skill proficiency
• Utilizes a committee to ensure current occupational practices are taught; committee meets at least twice yearly
• Responsible for student completion, placement, and retention rates meeting accrediting standards
• Responsible for training in competencies essential to success in the occupation
• Maintains currency of ASE certifications and acquires 20 hours of industry training annually
• Oversees safety and lab/shop cleanliness and tool control
• Identifies missing/broken tools and submits supply requisitions
• Becomes familiar with ASE Foundation Automobile ELT on-site evaluation handbook
• Other duties as deemed necessary
