Job Description:
Farmingdale State College invites applicants for the position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Science, Technology, & Society (STS). The STS Bachelor of Science at FSC is a four-year interdisciplinary program which examines the complex issues that arise due to the interconnectedness of systems in the current era. Through the course of their study STS majors learn to apply scientific thinking and integrative analysis when confronting unstructured real-world problems, which may be most effectively addressed through the consideration of perspectives that cut across conventionally separate disciplines. The program promotes the mental agility to thrive in the rapidly evolving sector of today's employment landscape which values creative problem-solving over traditional disciplinary specialization.
