Position overview

Salary range:
The posted UC salary scales [https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html] set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The salary range for this position is $118,000-$137,800. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan [https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf], which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant Professor rank. The candidate is expected to conduct research related to lung biology and disease, with a focus on lung injury. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in immunology including preclinical models, ex vivo models, imaging, and cell/molecular biology with the goal of developing novel therapeutics for targeting locally active proteins in the lung. The candidate will be expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals, facilitate the development and sustenance of a program through continued extramural funding, and participate in the training of students and post-doctoral fellows.


A Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent is required.
