Job description

**Job Title**: Adjunct Assistant Professor, Nuclear Medicine Technology

Job Summary

Reports to a chair or director and satisfies accreditation criteria. Must possess subject matter expertise and meet instructional responsibilities including designing courses, delivering instruction, evaluating student learning, and incorporating college-required technology.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory, and classroom settings to promote student success within a community college context.
• Support and promote the college and departmental missions, centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and service.
• Collaborate with department chair, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum to cultivate mastery of course content.
• Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide frequent, timely assessment of and clear feedback regarding academic performance; appropriately document student progress and maintain records including attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment.
• Assist the Program Director with preparing reports for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate, implement and evaluate the clinical education component of the curriculum (initiate and maintain clinical affiliate contracts, student clinical rotation placement, clinical affiliate visits and evaluations); ensure effective program operation and compliance with JRCN MT, SACS, or other regulatory agency requirements.
• Correlate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate student performance and learning.
• Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
• Participate in student recruitment and advisement.
• Participate in meetings and program advisory committee work as designated.
• Assist with implementation of college policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with SF college philosophy, values, and mission.
• Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
• Work a flexible schedule at multiple worksites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Current industry credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(N) OR Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification as a registered technologist (CNMT) in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Criminal background check will be conducted.
• Preferred: Candidates with teaching experience in a JRCNMT or regionally accredited educational program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to deliver a high level of interactive service, develop and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the organization, communicate effectively, and possess proficient computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Suite of Office Applications.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule at multiple sites and ability to work well with students, faculty and staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative environment.
