Job summary

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is accepting applications for Adjunct American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor positions for the 2027 Academic School Year. This pool is to create a qualified candidate pool for potential openings across its nine colleges.

Qualified applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher with related experience or an Associate degree with extensive related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field and two years of full-time related professional experience, OR Associate degree and six years of full-time related professional experience.
• Professional experience must be directly related to the teaching assignment.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of ASL courses and promote inclusive educational environments.
• Be culturally responsive in interactions with students, staff, faculty and the community.
