Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago, Daley College, invites applications for an Art Adjunct Faculty position for Fall 2026. The Humanities Department seeks a part-time instructor dedicated to student success and contemporary art instruction.

The role may require fully in-person teaching; hybrid schedules are not guaranteed. Responsibilities include teaching studio art courses, maintaining advising office hours, and updating syllabi and assessments in Blackboard.

Qualifications

• M.F.A. in any of the studio arts (e.g., painting, photography, sculpture) or M.A. in Art History.
• You must demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process and the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed.
• Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring and coaching students.
• Development and revision of courses and instructional materials as necessary.
• Post syllabi and grades on Blackboard.

• The salary range is the following per contact hour based on education: Master's - $800, Master's +30 - $837, Doctorate/Terminal (including MFA) -$943. Offered salary will be determined by the respective collective bargaining agreement and applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
