Stark State College seeks a passionate, dedicated part-time instructor to join our Applied Industrial Technology Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement.

The candidate will teach courses in the Industrial Technology area, plan and deliver lectures and hands-on labs in manufacturing technology, automation, and electrical systems, and develop materials aligned with program outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree and/or journeyman trade status required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of machining industry experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Must be available to work both day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in the Industrial Technology area.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures and hands-on lab sessions in subjects such as manufacturing technology, automation, and electrical systems.
  • Develop instructional materials and assessments that align with program outcomes.
  • Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to support learning and skill development.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and supervise the use of lab and classroom equipment.
  • Participate in curriculum development and program improvement initiatives.
  • Support student success through advising, mentoring, and career guidance.

  • The candidate must be available to work during the day and evening.
