Job summary

Somerset Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor for Anatomy & Physiology to teach in a hybrid setting, helping students engage with general education courses in the division. Positions are temporary and used to fill classroom vacancies as needed.

The successful candidate will deliver quality instruction, provide timely feedback, monitor attendance, and record grades, with experience using Blackboard preferred. A Master’s degree and relevant hours are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an accredited program.
• Experience using Blackboard (or similar learning management system) for delivering classes is recommended.
• Previous teaching experience is desired.

Job Summary

These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed. When a position is available, qualified applicants may be contacted for an interview and asked to submit further documentation.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will work to empower students to be fully engaged in the learning environment and promoting growth and educational development to support the operation and success of the general education courses in the division.

Instructors are responsible for:

• Delivering quality instruction with student-instructor interaction
• Providing timely feedback to students
• Monitoring progress/attendance
• Recording grades and submitting reports

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree with at 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an accredited association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Blackboard (or a similar learning management system as a delivery method for classes) is recommended.
• Previous teaching experience is desired.
