Yuba Community College District is seeking a part-time instructor to develop and deliver lectures and labs for Agriculture/Environmental Horticulture courses, up to 6–10 hours per week. The role requires using effective teaching methods to promote student learning and delivering day, evening, or weekend classes, including distance learning when needed.

BASIC FUNCTION : Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for Agriculture/ Environmental Horticulture courses up to 6 – 10 hours/week; Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired.
QUALIFICATIONS : The successful candidate must possess the minimum qualifications stated below: Master’s in agriculture, agriculture science, education with a specialization in agriculture or other agricultural area (including: agricultural business, agricultural engineering, agricultural mechanics, agronomy, animal science, enology, environmental (ornamental) horticulture, equine science, forestry, natural resources, plant science, pomology, soil science, viticulture or other agriculture science)
