All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective tocreate a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students,while contributing service to the college. Adjunct facultyresponsibilities include teaching assigned courses and followingthe course description and course outline established by thedepartment. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses andonline/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. Inaccordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement( CBA ), additional activities may include participation indepartmental initiatives, evidence of academic achievements,recognition by professional and community organizations, and otherduties.
Bachelor’s degree required in Horticulture, Plant Science, Botany, Agronomy, Agricultural Education or a related Natural Science.Master’s Degree preferred.
Prior teaching experience preferred. Priority given to collegelevel teaching. Additional job experience may substitute forteaching experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developmentsand technologies in related fields of specialization. Ability toteach lab courses. Knowledge of computer aided design softwareencouraged. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
