Job summary

adidas is seeking an Inventory/Quality Control Supervisor to join our Distribution Center management team in Indianapolis. You will optimize DC inventory accuracy and SOP compliance while leading a team of IC/QA associates, ensuring safety, quality, and timely operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Inventory/Quality Control related functions in Distribution Center and be accountable for achieving all service level and quality targets.
  • Train, Cross-Train, Manage, and develop all IC/QA associates
  • Maintain full working knowledge of the WCS and WMS platforms
  • Manage the collection, reporting and feedback regarding operations functions using SAP, excel, queries, Power Bi, SCI and WMS reporting
  • Report on Inventory/Quality Control metrics to evaluate DC compliance, Cuts, Inventory Availability, quality, and safety
  • Createa positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction
  • Maintain all OSHA safety standards including all reporting of accidents, injuries, damages, and potential threats to safety
  • Direct efforts ensuring all associates maintain a safe and orderly working environment
  • Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
  • Support Lean Six Sigma activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

Purpose:

The Inventory/Quality Control Supervisor (IC/QC) is a member of the Distribution Center management team. They will work to continuously optimize our DC inventory accuracy and SOP compliance by engaging with various stakeholders to improve IC/QC metrics and refine processes and remove waste from operations. This individual will be a strong people manager with the ability to effectively manage associates with varying levels of experience.The position requires someone who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage all Inventory/Quality Control related functions in Distribution Center and be accountable for achieving all service level and quality targets

  • Train, Cross-Train, Manage, and develop all IC/QA associates

  • Maintain full working knowledge of the WCS and WMS platforms

  • Manage the collection, reporting and feedback regarding operations functions using SAP, excel, queries, Power Bi, SCI and WMS reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Experience operating in high-volume, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to effectively and efficiently interact with associates and senior DC Leadership team.

  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills



  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications

  • The job requires extensive walking and standing on hard surfaces



  • Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to ten (10) hours/day

  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch

  • Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds

  • Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)


Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
