Job summary

TECO Energy offers a data analytics internship at our Brandon, Florida location. You will support the ADI program through data analysis, quality, reporting, and governance activities, collaborating with business and technical partners to organize and communicate data that informs project decisions.

This internship provides hands-on experience with enterprise data practices and analytics tools like Excel, Power BI, SQL, and Python, while you extend your classroom learning with real-world projects.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills to organize information, evaluate data, and derive insights.
• Working knowledge of Excel; exposure to Power BI, SQL, Python preferred.
• Enrollment in university co-op program required.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Target degrees: Data Science, Data Analytics, CS, IS, Statistics, Business Analytics, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Data analysis and reporting: assist with datasets, trends, and dashboards.
• Data quality: review data for completeness, document issues.
• Data documentation: maintain data definitions and inventories.
• Governance and controls: support standards, issue tracking, access docs.
• Cross-functional collaboration: gather requirements and communicate findings
