Job summary

Trinseo LLC is seeking a Lab Technician for Adhesive & Sealants at our Rheinmünster, Germany lab, near Strasbourg and Karlsruhe. You will prepare formulations, test prototypes, and interpret results to support development projects in adhesives and sealants.

The ideal candidate is pursuing or holds a degree in Chemistry, Formulation, or Materials Science, with hands-on lab experience, initiative, good communication, and fluency in English. German language skills are not required for this role.

Qualifications

• Laboratory Technician or Master student in Chemistry, Formulation, Materials Science or related field.
• Strong interest in working within Adhesives & Sealants application laboratory. Passion and curiosity for formulation, testing and chemistry.
• Initiative and autonomy in carrying out the formulations and tests.
• Good communication and interpersonal team skills.
• Good working knowledge of English. German is not required.

Responsibilities

• Make formulations and prepare final prototypes to be tested.
• Test and characterize prototypes. Interpret results within project(s) related to the Adhesives & Sealants and build relationships between application performances and Trinseo polymer properties.
• Development and implementation of applications tests.
• Learning of the lab specific safety procedures, analytical methods and laboratory operating procedures.
• Be part of the lab team and participate to the weekly lab operations.
