Job summary

Regal Heights Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Queens seeks an experienced Adult Day Health Care Program Director to lead reopening, growth, and daily operations of our ADHC program in Jackson Heights. This hands-on role requires strong leadership and a passion for building a welcoming community for registrants.

You will oversee compliance with NYS DOH, HCBS, Medicaid, and ADHC requirements, manage staffing and census development, and cultivate referral relationships to support census growth.

Qualifications

• Previous management or leadership experience in an Adult Day Health Care program is required.
• Strong understanding of ADHC operations and NYS regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Medicaid, MLTC plans, care planning, compliance, and census development.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work closely with clinical and administrative teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work, public health, business, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reopening and ongoing operation of the ADHC program.
• Oversee daily program activities, staffing, scheduling, and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with NYS Department of Health, HCBS, Medicaid, and applicable ADHC requirements.
• Maintain complete and accurate registrant records, assessments, care plans, and required documentation.
• Prepare the program for surveys, reviews, interviews, and regulatory visits.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and support program staff.
• Work closely with nursing, social work, rehabilitation, activities, dietary, transportation, and facility leadership.
• Develop and maintain relationships with MLTC plans, referral sources, hospitals, community organizations, families, and healthcare providers.
• Support census growth through outreach, referrals, and strong community relationships.
• Coordinate registrant admissions and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
• Monitor program quality, attendance, satisfaction, and operational performance.
• Create a safe, organized, engaging, and person-centered environment for registrants.
