Job summary

Fathom is seeking an Additive Quality Technician in Wisconsin to perform final quality checks on parts from the additive department. You will conduct dimensional and visual inspections, ensure routing completeness, and verify parts meet work order specifications.

You will also periodically test materials, maintain measurement logs, and support floor operators with quality issues while adhering to safety policies and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related work experience.
• Experience with MS Office & Adobe.
• General knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks or Magics).
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with metric and imperial measurement systems.
• Experience with measuring tools/equipment (caliper, micrometer).
• Working knowledge of inspection equipment; CMM/PCMM a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail; able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet requirements.
• Visually inspect parts for defects and confirm customer specifications.
• Assist with machine calibration measurements.
• Support material property testing.
• Keep logs of measurements and data.

Additive Quality Technician Position Summary:

The Additive Quality Technician will be responsible for the final quality check of parts leaving the additive department. The technician will perform final dimensional and visual inspections and record the results in the project folder. The technician will also ensure that the routing is complete and that parts meet the specifications called out on the work order. The technician will periodically test material to ensure it meets certain requirements and assist with machine scale verification.

Additive Quality Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet requirements.
• Visually inspect parts to ensure they meet customer requirements and have no defects.

• Assist with machine calibration measurements.

• Supports testing to evaluate material properties.

• Keep proper logs of measurements and data taken.
• Support operators on the floor with quality-related issues.

• Follows and complies with safety policies and procedures.
• Accurately completes all required documentation.
• Meets attendance policy requirements.

• Communicate and collaborate with team members to share information and solve technical issues.

Additive Quality Technician Qualifications/Requirements:

• Associate degree in a relevant field and/or other technical certification a plus.

• 1-2 years of related work experience.

• Experience with MS Office & Adobe
• General knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks or Magics) is a plus
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings
• Familiarity with both metric and imperial until systems
• Working knowledge and application of measuring tools/equipment (e.g. caliper, micrometer)
• Working knowledge of inspection equipment required
• CMM / PCMM Operations or knowledge is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Able to manage sensitive and confidential information
• Must read and write English
