Job summary

GE Vernova’s Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology (AMRT) Additive team seeks an Engineering Leader to oversee 24+ additive assets, mentor engineers, and drive the industrialization of new additive technologies for gas turbine products. You will lead process development, champion Lean and SQDC improvements, and partner across Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Travel <10%, US work authorization required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Mechatronics, or related field).
  • &gt;8 years of relevant experience leading or coaching teams in a professional capacity.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<10%).
  • Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or existing Green Card holder, permitted to work on U.S. export-controlled technology.

Job Description Summary

The Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology (AMRT) Additive team develops and industrializes 3D printed combustion and hot gas path components to enable advanced gas turbine products. The AMRT Additive Process Team Engineering Leader manages a large-scale operation encompassing >24 pieces of additive equipment and processes. This leadership position oversees a team of engineers and technical staff responsible for the execution of additive development products through print and post-print processing for New Technology (NTI) and New Product Introduction (NPI). This position owns the execution and industrialization of the AMRT-Additive Development Lean Line and leads the team in continuous improvement of print and post-print processes for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost while incorporating advanced technologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Technical Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Mechatronics, or related field).
  • Experience: >8 years of relevant experience, including substantial experience leading or coaching individuals and teams in a professional capacity.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<10%) as required.
  • Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or existing Green Card holder, permitted to work on U.S. export-controlled technology.

Desired Qualifications

  • Operational Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional, matrixed teams and scaling complex technologies from lab to industrial production.
  • Education/Technical Expertise: Master’s degree in Engineering. Background in design, manufacturing, or repair—ideally with specific knowledge of power generation equipment.
  • Additive Mastery: Proven experience in metal Additive Manufacturing (specifically LPBF); working knowledge of additional modalities (EBM, DED, Binder Jetting) and proficiency in DfAM principles (topology optimization, generative design, and support strategy).
  • Lean & Problem Solving: Deep commitment to Lean manufacturing principles and standard work. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-faceted projects using FMEA, data-driven analytics, and risk-based assessment tools to ensure quality and waste elimination.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Design and Manufacturing Engineers, Operations, Quality, R&D) and align stakeholders at all levels.
  • System Proficiency: Proficiency in CAD/simulation tools (e.g., NX), ERP systems, and BOM management; experience with basic programming languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
  • Growth Mindset: Proactive, collaborative, and agile leadership style; values transparency, intellectual humility, and a customer-focused execution mindset.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
