Job summary

Xometry is seeking an Additive Technician to operate and maintain 3D printing equipment, perform post-processing, and keep the shop clean and organized at our Gaithersburg facility. The role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include running EOS SLS, Stratasys machines, post-processing parts, powder handling, support removal, and using Xometry ERP and Magics software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Extreme attention to detail and patience.
• Ability to work unattended while multitasking.
• Algebra and basic computer skills.
• Performs all work in compliance with Xometry’s quality and safety systems, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operation of Additive Manufacturing machines (EOS SLS, Stratasys Fortus 450, Stratasys 900, PostPro3D Vapor Smoother, Prusa i3Mk3s+ desktop FDM, and Stratasys Connex machines).
• Powder handling and SLS build breakouts.
• Remove supports from FDM printed models (manual or bath).
• Post-processing: drilling, tapping, inserts, helicoils, tumbling, dyeing, sanding, bagging and tagging.
• Shop maintenance and cleaning.
• Regular use of Xometry ERP and Magics software systems.
