Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Materials, Industrial) OR related discipline.
• Minimum two years’ manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience.
• Thorough and complete understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience designing and drawing using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software.
• Familiar with heat treatment, forging, grinding, casting and additive manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of material properties of aerospace materials.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certifications and methodology.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Must collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams at all levels.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and create process documentation and procedural work instructions for additive manufacturing, machining, and post processing.
• Create CAD and additive manufacturing build files to support material property development and/or sustainment product development processes.
• Communicate process improvement opportunities related to manufacturing activities.
• Work with machinists, technicians, and other engineering teams to solve complex advanced manufacturing problems.
• Provide feedback on next generation technology related to additive manufacturing, sustainment, or post-processing.
• Participate in special projects as defined by the customer.
• Travel between customer sites, offices, or job locations as needed.
