Job summary

Firestorm is seeking an Application Engineer, Additive Manufacturing to join our San Diego team. You will translate customer requirements into validated, repeatable manufacturing processes across additive and CNC technologies, from DFM/DFAM to first article, on xCell systems.

You will own process qualification, assist deployment, train operators, and troubleshoot issues in CONUS and OCONUS environments, closely collaborating with engineering and customers to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with MJF additive manufacturing.
• Proficiency in design for additive manufacturing (DfAM).
• Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications turning customer part requirements into validated manufacturing processes on xCell.
• Develop and qualify process parameters, materials, and part libraries."
• Support xCell deployments, train operators, troubleshoot production issues in fielded systems.
