Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering is seeking an Additive Operator to operate 3D printing equipment and manage powder handling within a strict quality system. Training is provided; prior additive experience is not required. Work involves building parts, documentation, and ERP transactions.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and team collaboration on the production floor. ITAR compliance and lifting requirements apply in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute detailed written work instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic mathematics including weights, ratios, and percentages.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry in manufacturing system.
• Manual dexterity for handling small parts.
• Must pass respirator fit test and medical clearance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for a shift.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and monitor builds on Additive equipment per instructions.
• Perform pre-build verification of machine condition, powder level, and material identity.
• Handle polymer powder, weigh, sieve, and blend per refresh ratio; maintain lot identity.
• Perform cake removal, part recovery, and powder reclaim in designated areas.
• Verify parts against job sheet/drawing and segregate nonconforming parts.
• Complete build logs, powder logs, traveler signoffs, and ERP transactions.
• Maintain 5S and dust housekeeping in work area.
• Transfer parts and docs to Finishing department.
• Escalate machine alarms and deviations to Additive Technician.
