Job summary

Pinnacle Pointe Behavioral Health, part of Universal Health Services, seeks an Addictions Counselor to provide quality direct and indirect patient care for individuals with chemical dependency. You will maintain documentation, develop treatment plans with a multi-disciplinary team, conduct groups, and coordinate discharge planning.

Two years of psychiatric healthcare experience is preferred, with strong clinical assessment skills and crisis intervention ability.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related mental health field is required.
  • Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC) or CADC certification preferred.
  • Minimum two years of psychiatric healthcare facility experience with individual, family and group therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality direct and indirect patient care to individuals with chemical dependency.
  • Maintain accurate program and patient documentation, including medical records.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Conduct group sessions and communicate with referral sources regarding progress.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and implementation for patients.

Qualifications
Education:

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related mental health field.

Lincensure: LADAC Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor and/or CADC Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in individual, family and group therapies. Experience in crisis intervention is desired. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
