Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree with board eligibility.
• ECFMG Certification or equivalent for international graduates.
• Completion of psychiatry residency with eligibility for board certification.
• Fellowship in addiction psychiatry or proven experience in addiction psychiatry.
• ABMS board eligibility or in training toward eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to distinguish between primary mental health conditions and symptoms from substance use.
• Prescribe and monitor medications to reduce cravings and manage withdrawal.
• Conduct counseling and behavioral therapies to aid coping and prevent relapse.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create holistic treatment plans.
• Provide supervision, mentoring and teaching to residents and students.
• Contribute to research and educational missions of the psychiatry department.
