Spero Health, INC. seeks an Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Ohio. This on-site role supports outpatient OBOT care with buprenorphine prescribing and integrated physical and behavioral health services.

The position is 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, compassionate care and continued recovery support for patients with substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in the applicable state.
• Current DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in state(s) where applicable.
• Experience providing addiction medicine services for complex populations.
• Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams in various settings.
• Effective time management and communication skills.
• Computer literate with EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with addiction conditions.
• Complete documentation to support professional billing.
• Educate patients and families about illness, prognosis, and care plans.
• Interpret test results and diagnose health issues; provide feedback.
• Counsel on medication adherence and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to integrate medical and behavioral health care.
• Follow up on patient progress with medications and treatments.
• Coordinate with PCPs and specialists as needed.
• Review and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and CME credits.

Spero Health is seeking an Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team!

**This role is 3 days/week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)**

This position is for an Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner with the ability to prescribe buprenorphine to join our team to fulfill its mission of "Saving Lives, Instilling Hope, and Restoring Relationships" to those suffering from substance use disorder. We provide local and affordable outpatient care primarily to those suffering from opioid addiction, and we operate as one of the largest Office Base Opioid Treatment (OBOT) providers in the country.

Spero Health utilizes an innovative evidenced-based integrated care model that combines both physical and behavioral healthcare services under one roof to treat the whole patient. We offer medication-assisted treatment along with counseling and case management within our facilities in order to bring the most comprehensive level of care to the patients that we serve while our community-based approach to treatment allows patients to continue working and caring for their families as they overcome addiction.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide initial evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing support for individuals with complex addiction and substance related health conditions.
• Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services.
• Provide education regarding illness and prognosis to assist with clarification of patient and family goals of care and support development of a comprehensive care plan.
• Interpreting test results to diagnosis any health issues and provide feedback to patients.
• Educating and counseling patients regarding medication compliance.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to administer the best care for those patients that need not only medical therapy but behavioral health services as well.
• Patient follow-up visits regarding patients' progress with medication and/or treatment.
• Contacts patient's PCP and/or specialist(s) when necessary.
• Evaluates lab results and provides consultation with APPs regarding abnormal results.
• Reviews and oversees progress and treatment plans, including making any adjustments.
• Maintains required licensure, certifications and CME credits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active and unrestricted medical license as a nurse practitioner within the applicable state.
• Experience providing addiction medicine services for both medically and socially complex populations; Experience managing complex substance use disorders.
• Ability to develop relationships with network and community physicians and other providers.
• Current, active DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in state(s) where applicable.
• Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams in a variety of settings.
• Effective time management and communication skills.
• Computer literate and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
