Job summary

Middlesex Recovery is seeking a Part-Time Medical Director to lead OBOT and behavioral health services at our outpatient clinics. This physician will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and regulatory compliance across multiple locations.

The role requires MD/DO with MA/NH license, DEA, Addiction Medicine board certification, and 5+ years of clinical leadership in addiction/behavioral health. Compensation starts at $150/hour, with higher rates based on experience.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted medical license in MA & NH.
• DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances.
• Board Certification in Addiction Medicine required. Additional preferred certifications: Addiction Psychiatry, Psychiatry.
• Minimum of five years of clinical leadership experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or related healthcare settings.
• Strong knowledge of MAT and evidence-based addiction treatment practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for all addiction treatment and behavioral health services delivered within Middlesex Recovery.
• Ensure the provision of evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders, including Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder.
• Serve as a clinical resource, consultant, and collaborator to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, counselors, and program leadership.
• Review complex patient cases and provide guidance regarding treatment planning, medication management, and clinical best practices.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state BSAS, payer, DEA, CARF, and organizational requirements.
• Lead clinical quality improvement initiatives and support performance measures related to patient care, access, retention, outcomes, and provider productivity.
