Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling for adults with SUD.
  • Complete client psychosocial assessments and treatment plans within required time frames.
  • Identify client needs and coordinate case management.
  • Educate clients and families about treatment, health issues, and steps to recovery.
  • Deliver workshops, lectures and trainings to clients, families, staff and community groups.
  • Maintain documentation in client service records per regulatory expectations.

Position Purpose

Participate as a team member in the delivery of substance-use disorder services to adult clients and their families. Facilitate the issues of recovery into client's daily living situations. Provide program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. This Addiction Counselor position will run a morning Intensive Outpatient Group for Adult clients with a primary Substance Use Disorder.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field, or commensurate experience and training.
  • Minimum tCADC or achieve and maintain licensure as a LBSW, LMSW, tLMHC, or other state or national licensure that supersedes the tCADC within 90 days of hire or transfer.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems strongly preferred.
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within prescribed time frames
  • Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling
  • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently

Essential Responsibilities
  • Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
  • Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame.
  • Identify client clinical and case management needs and work to address those needs.
  • Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues and steps to recovery.
  • Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
  • Ensure that documentation in client service record is maintained consistent with expectations defined by SUPR, TJC and Medicaid regulations.
  • Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, case management and discharge plans).
  • Assume on-call responsibilities per schedule or when designated.
  • Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups.
  • Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.
  • Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  • Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
Schedule: Monday -Thursday 8:00am-6:30pm

  • Starting salary Bachelors: $24.44
  • Starting salary Master's: $27.77

Professional Certification (e.g., CADC, CRSS, or CPS): +$0.72/hour (equivalent of +$1,500 annualized)
