Job summary

Underwater Mechanix Services (UMX) seeks an ADCI-certified Commercial Diver to perform underwater construction, inspections, and maintenance. You will handle cutting, welding, and installing tasks, operate diving gear, and travel to diverse remote job sites while adhering to safety regulations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a commercial diving diploma, ADCI certification, logbook, valid medical, and ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Diploma from an accredited commercial diving school.
• 1 year or more of commercial diving experience.
• Current ADCI certification.
• Current Dive Log Book.
• Valid ADCI Dive Physical (or ability to obtain).
• First Aid / CPR / O2 Provider Current Certification.
• Valid state driver's license with clean record.
• Passport – Preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Ability to obtain federal installation access credentials.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote marine environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial dives in compliance with ADCI guidelines and safety protocols.
• Conduct underwater inspections, cutting, welding, and installation tasks.
• Set up, test, maintain, and operate diving equipment and support systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance of dive gear and machinery.
• Operate construction equipment as required.
• Follow dive plans and supervisor instructions.
• Document work progress and report hazards or safety issues.
• Comply with safety regulations and site policies.
• Travel to various job sites.
• Work extended hours as needed to meet timelines.
