Job description

Position Title: ADC Associate

Department: Retail

Reports To (Title): District or Regional Manager; Task Supervisor: Site Key Holder

Position Type: FLSA - Non-Exempt

Supervising Staff: NO

General Purpose

The ADC Associate is responsible for all functions of donations acceptance and processing, ensuring efficient rough sorting by category. The ADC Associate acts as a "Goodwill Ambassador," role modeling Goodwill’s mission to create a positive donor-centric experience through all interactions.

Essential Functions
  • Provide friendly customer service attitude.
  • Achieve brand productivity standards for donation handling and sorting of goods.
  • Maintain SOPs for receiving, storing, and transporting donations.
  • Execute efficient donation processing by sorting donations into categories such as textiles, housewares, shoes, etc.
  • Track and communicate daily cage count productivity to the Key Holder.
  • Adhere to safety and IDC protocols, reporting issues to management.
  • Partner with the Key Holder to ensure equipment replenishment and store requests are fulfilled.
  • Engage customers and donors, providing excellent customer service and appreciation for donations.
Daily Activities
  1. Donations:
  • Greet donors promptly with a friendly attitude and offer assistance.
  • Provide donation receipts and educate donors about relevant literature.
  • Keep the donation area neat, clean, and organized.
  • Thank donors and invite them to return.
  • Facilitate contactless donations via designated bins and available receipts.
  • Handle donations safely and according to policy.
  • Separate sellable donations by category as needed.
  • Maintain donor count records.
  • Pushing to Stores:
    • Prepare cages/bins of sorted goods for transport to designated stores.

    *Activities are subject to change based on business needs with management approval.

    Qualifications

    The following are required:

    • 1 year of retail or customer service experience preferred.
    • Previous stock experience required.
    • High School Diploma, equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
