ADC Sec Compliance Specialist, US ADC Security Assessment and Authorization

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading cloud provider, offering virtual infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and other services globally. AWS operates at a massive scale with a distributed environment, serving startups to enterprises and governmental organizations.

Security is our highest priority at AWS. The AWS US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Security team seeks a highly motivated Security Compliance Specialist to address security challenges for mission customers. You will understand AWS’s operational security processes and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

You will collaborate with program management, technical business development, and information security professionals to enhance our capabilities. As an A&A Security Compliance Specialist, your focus will be working with technical leaders to develop A&A documentation for efficient service onboarding.

The role requires experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), System Security Plans (SSP), Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTM), familiarity with the customer environment, and understanding of AWS services. You will support A&A activities, recommend improvements, and help deliver secure services to federal customers.

This position requires the candidate to be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with government customers to produce and implement system security packages across cloud infrastructures.
  2. Work with AWS teams to establish and maintain security documentation, including questionnaires, SSPs, and SCTMs.
  3. Review new systems, networks, and software designs for security risks and resolve integration issues.
  4. Develop plans for security systems to comply with laws, regulations, and directives, mitigating vulnerabilities.

Minimum requirements
  • 2+ years of Assessment and Authorization experience, including program ownership, scoping, planning, and working with technical teams.
  • 2+ years familiarity with security documentation and stakeholder engagement for project scope and requirements.
  • 1+ years experience architecting information systems under ICD 503 or DoD RMF.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred qualifications
  • DoD Manual 8570 IAM Level III certification.
  • Experience with service-oriented and web-service technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing systems using AWS.
  • Knowledge of Information Security or Audit frameworks.
