Description

TITLE: Attended Donation Center Attendant

Retail Program

PURPOSE: Accept donations from the public

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Accept donations from the general public
• Treat all donors and all donations with respect
• Assist every donor in unloading donated items from donor's vehicles
• Offer every donor a donation tax receipt and sign all receipts acknowledging acceptance of donations
• Thank every donor for their donation
• Dress appropriately in accordance with Goodwill dress code
• Understand and demonstrate commitment to the Goodwill Mission, effectively communicating it verbally or through literature
• Maintain interior and exterior of the ADC, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness
• Maintain safe conditions and perform fire safety procedures; report accidents or unsafe conditions
• Keep donor access clear of snow and ice in winter
• Store donations safely, utilizing space efficiently and packing loose donations into bags or boxes
• Immediately place outside donations inside during off hours
• Work at a pace to prevent donation overflow outside the ADC
• Keep accurate records of daily donors
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks
• Cross train in other areas as needed; may refuse donations that do not meet standards

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow policies and procedures set by leadership
• Investigate and report unsatisfactory conditions and customer complaints following chain of command
