Description
TITLE: Attended Donation Center Attendant
Retail Program
PURPOSE: Accept donations from the public
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accept donations from the general public
- Treat all donors and all donations with respect
- Assist every donor in unloading donated items from donor's vehicles
- Offer every donor a donation tax receipt and sign all receipts acknowledging acceptance of donations
- Thank every donor for their donation
- Dress appropriately in accordance with Goodwill dress code
- Understand and demonstrate commitment to the Goodwill Mission, effectively communicating it verbally or through literature
- Maintain interior and exterior of the ADC, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness
- Maintain safe conditions and perform fire safety procedures; report accidents or unsafe conditions
- Keep donor access clear of snow and ice in winter
- Store donations safely, utilizing space efficiently and packing loose donations into bags or boxes
- Immediately place outside donations inside during off hours
- Work at a pace to prevent donation overflow outside the ADC
- Keep accurate records of daily donors
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks
- Cross train in other areas as needed; may refuse donations that do not meet standards
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow policies and procedures set by leadership
- Investigate and report unsatisfactory conditions and customer complaints following chain of command

- Store Manager/Assistant Manager
- Senior Sales Manager
- Vice-President of Donation Procurement/Development
- Vice President of Retail Operations
- President and CEO of Goodwill Industries

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; on-the-job training provided
- Good work habits, attitude, punctuality
- Respond appropriately to supervision
- Physical endurance for industrial standards
- Regularly lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds
