Job summary

Ford is seeking an ADAS Hardware Systems Integration Engineer to develop and implement next-gen data acquisition for future architectures and vehicles. You will collaborate with hardware/software teams, feature owners and validation engineers to ensure on-time delivery, quality and budget adherence.

The role involves instrumentation testing, hardware/software troubleshooting, MATLAB/CAN tool development, and cross-functional coordination for ADAS validation using vehicle and virtual methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3+ years in ADAS feature/system development using radars, cameras, or ultrasonic sensors.
  • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition during design and development.
  • Experience with automotive interfaces: CAN, CANFD, Autosar, Auto-Ethernet.
  • Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and virtual validation methods (VIL/HIL/MIL).
  • Strong communication and project management skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead/support vehicle instrumentation testing and troubleshooting.
  • Lead/support revisions to vehicle instrumentation design.
  • Troubleshoot vehicle instrumentation hardware/software issues.
  • Complete vehicle module software/configuration updates.
  • Identify root cause to enable ADAS features/behaviors.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting for DTC and configuration issues.
  • Understand/verify vehicle specifications for feature validation.
  • Support ADAS validation testing using vehicle/virtual methods.
  • Develop MATLAB/CAN/python tools for data collection/analysis.
  • Coordinate root-cause analysis with internal/ external partners.
  • Assist with additional business operations tasks.
