Job summary

General Motors is seeking a software engineering intern to contribute to ADAS software projects in Michigan. The role may involve application software, mapping software, embedded software, testing, and integration across cross-functional teams.

You will write code in C/C++, Kotlin, Python, and/or Java, with focus on reliability and performance improvements, and you will document technical work while performing various levels of testing.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Able to work full-time 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Intent to return to degree program after completion of the internship; graduating between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, integrate, and test software solutions for ADAS systems.
• Write and maintain code in C, C++, Kotlin, Python, and/or Java.
• Support software development for ADAS application functionality or mapping capabilities.
• Analyze software behavior and help improve reliability, performance, and efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform unit testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to investigate issues and support software integration.
