Job summary

Bertrandt US INC is seeking an experienced ADAS Workshop Foreman to lead day-to-day operations in a vehicle integration and troubleshooting workshop in San Jose, CA. The role emphasizes execution, coordination, and staff supervision with no travel required.

You will manage prototype builds, ADAS component updates, and ROV troubleshooting while interfacing with customers and internal engineering teams to ensure high-quality outputs and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Mercedes-Benz experience required.
• Technical degree in Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years hands-on automotive shop and prototype shop experience, preferably with ADAS/E/E systems.
• Experience leading technicians in a workshop.
• Knowledge of rest-of-vehicle (ROV) troubleshooting and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily tasks to technicians based on project needs and deadlines.
• Oversee build-ups, retrofits, and system updates for ADAS prototype and pre-series vehicles.
• Guide technicians in diagnosing hardware and basic software issues; escalate complex problems to engineering when needed.
• Act as primary workshop contact for customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and timelines.
• Manage workshop infrastructure, tools, and test equipment; ensure safe, organized workspace (5S).
• Document configurations, issues, corrective actions, and vehicle status; use issue tracking (e.g., JIRA).
