Job summary

TekWissen Group in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a passionate ADAS Engineer to join our client’s Integrated Vehicle Systems group. You will help manage, develop, and evaluate next-generation ADAS features from concept through production, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and collaborating with teams in Japan.

The role requires a BS in a relevant engineering field and 5+ years of experience with ADAS systems, CAN communication, and model-based simulation.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, computer science, computer engineering, robotics engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
5+ years of experience leading or collaborating on development of mid-size or large-scale ADAS systems.
Experience with vehicle ECU architecture and CAN/CAN-FD in-vehicle communication.
Experience with development quality tools such as DFMEA, DRBFM, FTA.
Experience in ADAS systems like AEB, ACC, LKAS, PKSB, BSM, PVM and camera integration.
Experience reviewing requirements and test specifications with suppliers.
Experience performing root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation for field issues.
Experience in ADAS development using Python/C++ and model-based simulation.
Ability to integrate software and hardware platforms and validate vehicle performance.
Strong communication to senior management and international teams.

Responsibilities

Plan structure of parts and systems through target setting, packaging, electrical interface definition, and parameter setting.
Ensure department processes, deadlines, and error-free output for parts development.
Identify and develop products through project milestones with related groups.
Develop ADAS parts through concurrent minor and major changes.
Create and maintain part development schedules through SOP and negotiate with suppliers.
Assess risk and manage to meet performance, cost, mass, and quality targets.
Participate in evaluation and manufacturing activities at event locations.
Communicate across Client Design Center staff and with Client Japan counterparts.
Support growth and responsibility in developing ADAS systems for future vehicles.
Collaborate with local and international engineers for ADAS applications.
