Job Description:

  • Develop systems and applications for future ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) for North American developed vehicles.
  • Create business case and identify customer needs for ADAS through data-driven assessment.
  • Engineer system/functional performance requirements and hardware/software requirements to realize ADAS integration into vehicle platforms.
  • Publish engineering requirements/specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to commercialize high-quality ADAS into mass production vehicles.
  • Design and develop software in Python/C++ languages in Linux OS.
  • Responsible for function verification to meet customer requirements.
  • Propose new innovative ideas, identify customer needs for ADAS through data-driven assessment of technology, market, and social trends. Create innovative ADAS development proposals to drive the development of high-value new technology features.
  • Project management - maintain schedules, track open issues, visualize project status, and manage deliverables to multiple stakeholders.
  • Storytelling: Summarize data logically to create easy-to-understand visual reports for technical storytelling. Communicate proactively with stakeholders and management to build consensus.
  • Evaluation: Lead evaluation of features in simulated, closed-track, and public-road environments. Manage KPIs and suggest improvements for performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience in developing functional and system requirements for vehicle software applications (5 years)
  • Experience with automotive/robotic sensor technology: e.g., camera, radar (1 year)
  • Experience with design FMEA/FTA/DRBFM, problem investigation, root cause analysis (1 year)
  • Strong software development skills in Python/C++ in Linux OS (3 years)
  • Experience building business cases for innovative technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • Experience in ADS technologies, especially deriving technical specifications for automotive camera systems and HMI layout.
  • Experience with LVDS camera communications and validating functional performance through evaluation, including data acquisition system setup on vehicle/test bench.
