Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college hours.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certification preferred.
• Organized, creative, independent and self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to manage student behavior.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans to deliver effective educational programs.
• Maintain discipline and a safe learning environment.
• Continue routines and procedures of the classroom.
• Establish and maintain a sanitary, safe, and positive learning space.
• Report to office upon arrival; clarify school rules and procedures as needed.
• Grade papers and keep accurate records; submit reports timely.
• Maintain student and parent confidentiality.
• Provide feedback to the teacher on student behavior and lessons.
• Uphold district policies and procedures for regular teachers.
• Determine if services will be required the next school day.
• Report injuries, illnesses, or discipline issues promptly.
