Job summary

Qualifications

• Meets state requirements for education qualifications: 24 college credit hours.
• Ability to assist implementing an instructional support program with students of varying ages.
• Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal communication skills.
• Follow oral and written directions and establish effective working relationships with staff and students.
• Maintain student and school personnel confidentiality.
• Respect diverse culture and community values in the classroom.
• Positive role in school and community relations.
• Additional qualifications may be required by the Board of Education and Kelly Education.

Responsibilities

• Report to school office at start of day to pick up materials and class schedule.
• Dress safely and follow school procedures per district guidelines.
• Assume duties of the regular classroom teacher promptly and in line with rules.
• Supervise students in non-class settings as advised by school administration.
• Implement existing lesson plans to maintain academic time and student engagement.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and address diverse learning styles.
• If behavior issues arise, seek assistance from other staff as needed.
• Ensure students are not left unattended and report injuries or incidents promptly.
