Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Daily Substitute Teacher for Broadway Academy at Mount Pleasant in Cleveland, Ohio. You will deliver engaging lessons, differentiate instruction, and maintain attendance and student progress in EK-8 settings.

Applicants must hold an active Ohio teaching license, a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, and be comfortable with frequent observations and growth-focused coaching.

Qualifications

• State of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Ability to participate in a growth-focused coaching environment with observations and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Communicate and meet with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning.
