Job summary

NORTH ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY R-I SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Substitute/ Substitute Teacher to perform classroom duties when a teacher is absent. The role reports to the Principal within the Instruction department.

The position requires 36 college hours (or DESE 20-hour training) and a valid Missouri Substitute Teaching certificate. Responsibilities include lesson planning support, record-keeping, and providing targeted student assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• 36 semester hours at an accredited institution or DESE approved 20 hour training program.
• Valid Missouri Substitute Teaching certificate required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general information and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes when the regular teacher is absent.
• Prepare lesson plans with administrator guidance when unavailable.
• Maintain grades, attendance, and related student records during the teacher's absence.
• Provide small group and individualized support as needed.
• Supervise students and assist paraprofessionals in instructional settings.
