What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Plan, install, configure, customize, and implement Software AG’s ADABAS software products in a z/OS mainframe environment
• Execute disaster recovery strategies and manage database performance to ensure high availability
• Provide technical support and guidance to database administrators and systems design staff
• Monitor and tune ADABAS database performance, addressing any performance issues
• Automate ADABAS startup/shutdown processes using compatible tools

What is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 12 years of experience with SAG’s ADABAS database systems
• At least 5 years of recent experience with ADABAS on z/OS
• Strong background in maintaining z/OS operating systems and IBM CICS parameters
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Recent hands-on experience with ADABAS Cluster Services in IBM z/OS Parallel Sysplex environments
• Experience developing and implementing disaster recovery procedures for ADABAS
• Proficiency with SAG products such as PREDICT and Natural Security
• Demonstrated ability to optimize CPU utilization in ADABAS databases
• Experience supporting CICS Natural applications in CICSPlex configurations
