Job summary

Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a Night Shift RN for the Med Surg 2N unit to provide expert nursing care and deliver safe patient-focused service. You will apply the nursing process, monitor patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on priority care plans.

The role emphasizes adherence to Mercy service standards, professional accountability, and patient rights, with opportunities for ongoing education and advancement within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact license.
• Completes required nursing competencies and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within required time frame.

Qualifications

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN) Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications: Completes Hospital and required nursing competencies, mandatory in-services/MyEducation assignments and relevant certifications (ex. BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) within required time frame.

Transforming the Health of Our Communities

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest. Many of these would join together in 1986 as Mercy.
