Job summary

Mercy Ada is seeking a flexible Registered Nurse for PRN/per diem work in the Emergency Department. You will provide patient care, coordinate with the team, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality while maintaining Mercy’s standards.

Qualifications include RN licensure in the state, BSN preferred, and 1 year bedside RN experience (2 years for other specialties). Certifications vary by area (BLS/ACLS/PALS). Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• One year of bedside RN experience for Med Surg; two years for other specialties.
• Certifications: ED requires BLS, ACLS, & PALS; CC requires BLS, ACLS; Med Surg/WC requires BLS.
• Epic experience is a plus.

Overview:

Are you seeking a flexible incentivized Registered Nurse position? Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift- whatever works best for you! No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program requires being responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours, being available on short notice, being flexible and subject to last minute shift cancellation. The Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and will be the first for cancellation.

Qualifications:

• Required Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Preferred Education:
  • BSN
• Licensure:
  • Is responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience:
  • One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg.
  • For all other specialties, a minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience.
• Certifications:
  • For Med Surg and Women's and Children's (WC): BLS
  • For Critical Care (CC): BLS, ACLS
  • For ED: BLS, ACLS, & PALS
• Preferred Experience:
  • Epic experience
