Mercy is seeking a dedicated Courtesy Van Driver to operate a patient transport van and ensure safe transfer of non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients. The role requires maintaining a current Class E or equivalent driver’s license and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include daily vehicle inspection, proper fuel and cleanliness, and reporting defects to management promptly while adhering to Mercy’s mission and service standards.
Operation of a Mercy patient transport van to include pick-up and delivery of patients consistent with established guidelines of practice. Responsible for the safe and proper transfer of non-ambulatory patients to and from the wheelchair, safe transport of patients via the wheelchair, ambulation assistance to and from the transport van for ambulatory patients, and proper and safe transport of both non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients via the transport van. This position will be contingent upon maintaining a current and valid Class E or equivalent drivers license.
Inspect the transport van daily and report any deficiencies to management promptly. Keep the van clean at all times; keep the vehicle sufficiently fueled.
Performs related duties as assigned; provide exceptional customer service to all in keeping with Mercys mission, values and Service Standards.
