Job summary

The Office of the Bronx District Attorney is seeking a qualified Assistant District Attorney to conduct long-term investigations, prosecutions, and trials in Auto Crimes within the Trial Division. Collaboration with state, local, and federal partners is required to pursue justice for Bronx residents.

The role demands extensive experience with investigations, hearings, and trials, plus strong legal writing and communication skills. Night, weekend, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree and admission to New York State Bar in Good Standing required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations.
• Draft subpoenas or warrants for electronic data and other property.
• Perform intelligence, analytical, and investigative tasks.
• Present evidence to grand jury in an organized manner.
• Prosecute cases from long‑term investigations, including discovery, motions, and trials.
• Supervise analysts and partners; communicate goals and results.
• Maintain knowledge of investigative methods and relevant law.
• Attend interagency meetings and conferences.
• Communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Collaborate with the Crime Strategies Bureau and other bureaus.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Available nights, weekends, and holidays.
