Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director, Ad Tech Engineering for Capital One Shopping Tech (Remote - Eligible). You will lead multiple engineering teams, shape long-term technical strategy, and ensure alignment with scalable platform goals across cloud environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field or Computer Science.
Minimum 7 years of people management experience.
Minimum 9 years in software engineering and solution architecture.
Minimum 9 years in enterprise architecture and design patterns.
Minimum 9 years of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Minimum 9 years of data architecture experience.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers.
Shape long-term technical strategy and architecture standards for enterprise platforms.
Partner with senior leaders to align product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities.
Drive talent strategy including succession planning and skill development.
Mentor and guide engineers on technical development.
Collaborate with product managers to define capabilities and customer experiences.
Continuously improve software engineering practices.
Lead cross-domain architectural reviews and establish coding standards.
Promote innovation and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
Deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments.
