Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required or equivalent.
• 1 year recent acute care experience or prior nursing practice experience.
• Current California RN license required.
• Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA).
• If operationally able, consideration for those with less than 1 year of acute experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data and follows the plan of care.
• Formulates a plan of care for individual needs and participates in planning routine transitional health care needs.
• Adapts education to individual patients and families by modifying teaching strategies.
• Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care and determines immediate priorities.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.
• Advocates for patient rights and seeks conflict resolution as needed.
