Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver comprehensive PT services under supervision. You will evaluate patients, determine goals, and develop individualized treatment plans according to PT principles and departmental procedures.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, progress documentation, patient and family education for home exercise programs, and supervision of aides and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or higher required.
• Five years of PT experience or equivalent; or Master’s/Doctorate in PT.
• Current Maryland Physical Therapist license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Familiarity with Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services per standards and departmental procedures.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify problems and set measurable goals.
• Plan and implement treatment modalities; adjust plans as patient responses dictate.
• Document evaluations, plans, progress and discharge summaries in medical records.
• Teach patients and families home exercise programs and care techniques.
• Oversee and direct therapy aides, volunteers and students as directed.
