Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Rehabilitation team, delivering patient-centered therapy to help individuals regain independence and improve quality of life.

You will evaluate needs, design individualized treatment plans, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and educate patients and families while maintaining thorough documentation in a fast-paced rehab environment.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (OT) Occupational Therapist credential held.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs; develop individualized therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough documentation reflecting outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care and safe environments.
• Leading by example and guiding therapy assistants or students while upholding mission and values.
